This year has definitely had many ups and downs for me, whether it be losing loved ones, stepping away from negative energy or simply dealing with my own flaws and issues. I had hit a pretty low point in my life where I wasn't sure what I was doing from here on out. I don't know if it's the fact that I was getting older and need to get my shit together or that I was coming at a crossroads with what I wanted to do with the rest of my life, and being that I am the most indecisive human alive... I think it's safe to say I was just one of the many lost people in a world full of opportunities.
With that being said, I am a big believer in the phrase, "Everything happens for a reason." With all the endeavors I have overcome so far this year, it has only molded me into becoming a more driven and focused entrepreneur! Through these last few months I decided to take some time to really figure out what I was passionate about and what actions I needed to take to accomplish my goals. What I had realized was, I had become so focused on being just like the rest of society, that it blocked me from seeing what I truly enjoyed doing... which was home improvement! Many of you who have followed me for so long know I love to organize and clean, I am a complete OCD freak! When I began initiating the idea of starting my own home improvement company, my friends and family were as supportive as they come, which has really made this process all the more enjoyable.
As a dedicated follower of fashion, style and decor, I decided that design, with its combination of creative inspiration and disciplined details would be an ideal fit for my personal and professional passions. My intention is to revolutionize the concept of closets - all closets. Over the years, I have observed families and the way they took care of their homes, which led to my newfound obsession with functional spaces such as kitchens, living areas and baths. However, in this time I have also noticed that there was one room that was under-utilized and misunderstood... the CLOSET! "People spend so much time and energy on clothing, shoes and accessories and their closets were an afterthought," said by my role model Lisa Adams of LA Closet Designs. Not only are people spending so much time and energy, but also money, as a lover of luxurious brand names I know that hand bags, shoes, accessories and clothing are definitely not cheap, so why is it that we aren't taking care of our closets better!?
& this is where I come in...
