Taking on Turks & Caicos

July 16, 2017

When you book a vacation the first thing that pops into your head is "What am I going to wear!?" That is exactly what came into my mind when I found out I was going to the beautiful Providenciales, Turks & Caicos. I am constantly searching the web and Instagram for any new clothing pieces or brands that I might like. It can become a bit tedious to go through all new pages so I decided to stick with the websites I know best, which are ASOS, H&M, Zara, Free People & Forever21. Don't get me wrong, these are definitely not the only websites I am buying clothes from, however, they are for sure my go to's! When shopping, I am not looking for the most expensive and luxurious  pieces of clothing, rather, I am looking for items that will fit the scene I am in. Automatically, when thinking about an island you think colorful, whimsical and relaxing, that is exactly what i went for with all my looks!

This Beach Cover Up was definitely something I was really excited to wear and post. When I saw it on ASOS I knew it would be the perfect vacation piece for the islands and of course go really well with my tan! With something as bright and playful as this cover up you should think about wearing a bikini that is neutral so that not a lot is going on and that everything is mainly focused on the florescent colors of the piece. I decided to add some thin gold necklaces to make the look a little more bohemian. These necklaces can be found in places like Nordstrom and Francesca's.

My favorite & not to mention comfy yet stylish!

My next outfit screamed Turks & Caicos. This beautiful aqua dress was my first outfit choice when I arrived. With the weather they had I knew I definitely needed something loose and comfy for the night and this was just the right piece! It is low in the back and has long enough of a train to make it stand out. I am a really big fan of the color contrast as well as the fit. I decided to keep this look plain, the dress really spoke for itself with its amazing colors & my wild hair was pretty much all I needed! For those of you who ask my size on ASOS, I am usually a size 4 in dresses!

The look everyone seemed to love was the look I found the day before I was leaving! I was doing some last minute shopping when I arrived at H&M and found these amazing striped pants. I just love how high-waisted they were and they really give you that small waist look, which I know every girl loves! The material is very rough and strong, however, not heavy so I was able to wear them out during the day. I matched this outfit up with a Louis Vuitton clutch, one of my favorites that goes with everything & anything and a coral crop top that I found in Forever21! This outfit really popped and of course went well with my background! I wore my Valentino flip flops to make sure that the outfit is fully complete! I know people are so focused with the clothing part of the outfit that they may just throw anything on their feet BUT the shoes are the best part!
